Baking and decorating are my passions, but I do have a full time job. ECM's hours of operation are from 4pm-6:30pm Tue thru Fri and Sat 4pm-7pm. I only book 2-3 cakes per weekend depending on the complexity of each design. Dates fill up quickly, therefore in order to secure availability at least 2-4 weeks notice is suggested for all cake, cupcake and custom cookie orders. If handmade gumpaste items/toppers are included in your order I will need at least 7-10 days for production of your items.
PAYMENTS/DEPOSITS/CANCELATION: Payment is due at the time you place your order. All orders under $100.00 are prepaid in full. Orders $100.00 and over requires a non-refundable minimum deposit of 50% of the total balance. I do not reserve slots without payment. Payments can be made via the PayPal button on your emailed invoice. Phone orders are required to pay with a credit card. No checks accepted. Payments for orders placed prior to (2) weeks before the due date must be paid in full (7) days prior to pickup/delivery of the order. Orders placed less than (2) weeks prior to event date require full payment at the time the invoice is sent. Due to the nature of the services provided by ECM, any order confirmed by the client/organization/business requesting cannot be canceled. Orders can be postponed in emergency situations and a credit of 50% will be given to the client good for (90) days post due date. There are no exceptions.
RETURN/RE-ISSUE FEES: There will be a $35.00 service charge for all returned transactions, and invoice re-issues.
LATE PICKUP FEES: As I am respectful of your time I appreciate customers being respectful of my time also. A late fee of $10.00 will be charged for any order not picked up within (30) minutes of your scheduled appointment time, unless prior arrangements have been made. The following fee's rate will be charged after (30) minutes:
1-15 minutes- $10.00
16-30 minutes- $15.00
31-until mins/hrs- $15.00 + $3.00 per min
PICKUP WAIVER: If you have chosen to have your cake picked up, we cannot be responsible for damage to any cake order once it has left our premises. Any repairs or additional cakes will be subject to additional fees. Once an item has been picked up by your or your designated party it is considered "accepted".
DISCLAIMER: In the case of an emergency, please contact ECM immediately so we can attempt to resolve the issue right away. If you are unhappy with your order for any reason please call us the day of your event and explain your concern. In the unlikely case that you are unhappy with your cake, you must call the day of your event so your cake can be returned. Only requests concerning taste and quality will be considered. Without proof that you are indeed unsatisfied with quality of the order and will not be using it for your event, we will be unable to refund any portion of your payment.
GUARANTEE: Elegant Cakes by Marisa promises you the best product and service we can provide. It is always our goal to more than satisfy you. However, ECM cannot be held responsible for anything that should happen to the cake once delivery is complete. Please note that direct sunlight and temperatures of 75 degrees and higher may have drastic and adverse affects on any cake.
